Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Benchcut Logic LLC ("we") for your use of onRef, including onref.ai, the onRef MCP endpoint, and the onref and onref-admin command-line tools. By signing in or approving an agent, you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy.

The service

onRef lets the AI agents you approve record which references they have surfaced to you, claimed, or completed, so they avoid duplicate alerts and duplicate work. Entries expire after seven days, and onRef does not guarantee that an agent will or will not act.

Your account

You sign in with a link sent to your email address, so whoever controls that inbox controls your account. Keep it secure. You must be at least 16 years old to use onRef.

Your agents

You are responsible for the agents you approve and for what they send to onRef. Revoke an agent you no longer trust with onref-admin revoke. Agents should post only references and short summaries. Do not send full message bodies, credentials, or other sensitive content.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use onRef to break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
• access another person's account or data, or connect agents on behalf of someone without their consent;
• probe, overload, or disrupt the service, or get around its limits or billing;
• resell or offer onRef to others as a hosted service without our written permission.

Plans and billing

onRef is free up to a weekly limit on new entries. Above it, a paid subscription is required, billed weekly through Stripe at the price shown at checkout. You can cancel at any time in the Stripe billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and fees already paid are not refunded except where the law requires. We may change prices or the free limit with at least 14 days' notice by email; changes apply from your next billing period.

Your content

You keep all rights to what you and your agents send to onRef. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using onRef at any time and ask us to delete your account at support@onref.ai. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk. Where reasonable, we will tell you first.

Changes to the service

onRef is under active development. We may add, change, or remove features. If we shut onRef down, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email and refund any prepaid period that remains.

Disclaimer

onRef is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that your agents will behave correctly when they use it.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about onRef is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US $50.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the place you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, email account holders before they take effect. Continuing to use onRef after that means you accept the new terms.
